Boundaries of Directives - 2
Despite how sanitized the Axiom was kept, Thompson had somehow caught some sort of virus about a week ago. And even though he was recovering (surprisingly quickly, given his old age), he had still woken up that morning with another headache and sore throat. Regardless, he proceeded with his duties, not giving the symptoms much thought, even when the soreness refused to die down several cups of water later.
“Morning AUTO,” he greeted half-heartedly as he reached the bridge, getting a low “greetings captain” in response. Heading toward his station, he started the morning broadcast. “Good morning, ladies and gentle

AUTO rested above the Axiom Computer, as composed as ever, his wheel shifting ever so slightly as he piloted the spacecraft. Below, Captain Thompson snoozed on, lost in his sea of dreams, unaware of the day’s significance. All the better.
A soft ping, followed by the voice of the main computer, resonated softly through the bridge, notifying the autopilot of the Axiom Return Vehicles’s arrival. Pensive, the bot stared out into the mass of stars before spinning his wheel, redirecting the Axiom deeper into space and farther from Earth, Directive A113 coursing through his code.

TYP-E hung silently, his pointer-like hands resting above the touchscreen keyboard. Every so often, he would press a series of keys, executing a command or writing down a part of a report. His hands would move slowly, almost lazily, across the screen, as if he was weighed down by the repetitiveness of the motion. It was not that he didn’t like his job. After all, to every robot, directive is everything. Order and objective.
On some days though, like today, it could feel excruciatingly tedious. The typing bot stared down at the screen, before pressing another button.

Will You be my ValenPac? - Vapor
Vapor flinches and jerks awake, a passionate retort on the tip of her tongue, her tail lashing and hands balling as hatred and loss course through her. Her eyes flash dangerously as she whips around furiously, before dimming to a confused scan as she registers the setting. Several collapsed bunks are placed against the walls. The rest of the room is in no better shape. The musty odor of rotting wood, tinted with the sharp scent of rust, hangs in the air.

Vapor gives the pink and orange ghosts a push forward, more of a little nudge than anything. The three are currently hiding out in the shade of some bushes. “Go on,” she commands. “Find the yellow one and give him my message. I’ll be watching close by.”
“Why are we the ones to do this?” Clyde asks, looking back at her. Despite her best efforts, her tail twitches with irritation. The sun is starting to get to her, and she is in no mood for any long explanations.

“I can’t believe Vapor is actually letting us go free today!” Blinky whispers as he leads the way to town, glancing back at said ghost trailing behind the group.
“Yeah, she is usually so uptight,” Inky replies. “What gives?”
Vapor gives the boys a glance before looking away, her eyes half closed. “The way you throw the word “usually” around is unimpressive yet slightly amusing. We first met yesterday,” she huffs. “Besides, who said I am letting you completely free? All I mean is you can go into town without hiding today. I shall be following you as much as possible.R

Heir to the Throne Chapter 4 - Waltz With Me
The sound of beach waves slowly entered Elissa’s conscious as she woke up from her slumber. Obviously, Elissa had never seen waves in real life, but the alarm clock in her quarters was equipped with the sound effect, and she found it to be a much more peaceful noise to wake up to than the blaring beep-beep-beep that was typical of most alarm clocks. Auto told her once, about ten years ago as he was putting her to bed, that the waves were on beaches. This, of course led to the next obvious question, “But Auto, what is a beach?”
“A pebbly or sandy shore, especially by the sea.”
“What is the sea?”

Elissa was running as quickly as her legs could carry her. Being one of the few people aboard the Axiom that participated in physical exercise, Elissa was not confined to the chairs that so many of the humans lived in. That did not mean that she was fit, though. Yes, she had managed to stay slimmer than most of the humans, but gravity had taken effect on her brittle bones just like everyone else and her figure still full in a voluptuous way. Breathing heavily, Elissa rounded a corner to the left, hoping to get away from the Stewards that were gaining on her. Knowing that they would drag her back to the bridge for the training
So sorry for the lack of activity for the last few… months. But yep, I’m back! Hope everyone’s doing well!
Also, a big thank you to everyone who has commented, faved, and watched! It really means a lot to me! Sorry again for the lack of updates on my stories, but they are definitely not going to be abandoned! I’m actually currently working on the next chapter for A Huggle and a Snuggle, which will be renamed to Love is War, so an update will happen soon!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy rest of the year!
I recently found out that one of my cats has diabetes. I'm just happy he's alive. When he first got diagnosed, he had DKA, which is where he was basically digesting his own body since he can't absorb any of the food he ate and was being poisoned as a result. The vet initially suggested that we should "put him to sleep", and we might have done so had he not made such a quick recovery.
Now he's out of the emergency room and is doing really well compared to two weeks ago, but I'm still really overwhelmed with figuring stuff out and bills and whatnot. So... just letting you know what's been going on and that I wouldn't be very active here for a
So sorry for the lack of activity you guys! School has been extremely busy lately, and it looks like it’s going to continue being busy until the end of the school year. I’m still going on here once in a while, but not as often as I usually do.
